Its been awhile- Been super busy

Its been awhile since I have done a blog.  Its been so busy here lately with my fulltime job as well as Green me up Granny stuff.  Those of you that don't already know I was interviewed by the Sunday Mail in Queensland on Handmade Soaps and the photographer came out to the house to take some photo's of myself and my soap.

We have had some crazy weather up here in Sunny Queensland lately and the humidity has been terrible.  So much that the purchase of a De humidifier was needed for my curing room and unfortunately after much thought decided maybe selling soap with no wrapping wasn't the best thing to do so now my soaps are wrapped with plastic so they are protected from the weather.  Over the last couple of weeks hubby and I have had a marathon of soap wrapping.  I estimate we wrapped close to 1000 soaps.  Funny how I thought I had plenty but after I filled a few orders I realised more now is needed and this will be a regular thing to do when I come home from work each night.

My soaps are now available in a few places for purchase including Handmade on High Street, a delivery of our soaps this Saturday to Mimmis means if you are in the Forest Hill district you will be able to purchase a range of my most popular soaps from Miriams amazing shop.  Side Street Vintage
also has a range of my Natural range of soaps for people who have very sensitive skin and my soaps and candles will be available next week from Homespun .

I have been creating new wonderful soap recipes including a Chocolate Peanut Butter Soap and yes made from real peanut butter and a new take on my oranges and lemons soap.

Last weekend saw me at my first market for the year and loads of happy people taking home their Natural Soaps.  I have two more new markets this month to attend.  Rock a Buy Boutique Markets and Markets at EP

My first Soap and Candle Making Retreat is only a month away so busy preparing for it at the moment plus also looking for more venues locally in the SE Queensland area for more soap or candlemaking workshops.  If you know of anyone who has a Retail outlet with an area available please let me know so I can make contact about renting the space.

This year will be a busy one for this Granny.
